Walk-It for Parkinson's

Walk the beautiful grounds of Mohawk Park individually or as part of a team. You can collect pledges or even just volunteer to help at the walk. Food, refreshments and entertainment will be provided as part of the walk. This event is a fundraiser for the Parkinson's Society to raise money for support, education, advocacy and research for Parkinson's.

Brantford Burst Colour Fun Run

Admission: Adults - $35, Seniors - $25, Spectators - $5, Discounts offered to teams of 4+ participants

Brantford Burst 2019 is Skip.org’s third annual 5km run/walk explosion of colour and fun.  The un-timed colour fun run for people of any age starts at 11:00 a.m. and the scenic course follows the Grand River, looping at Birkett Lane and returning back to the Earl Haig parking lot. This year, you can stop at the 5km mark or keep going for the bonus run. After race completion, you will have access to Earl Haig Family Fun Park to celebrate Grandparent’s Day with Skip.org!

15th Annual Truck Convoy for Special Olympics

Paris Fairgrounds, 139 Silver St., Paris

Watch big rigs with big hearts celebrate big results! Each participating truck donates $100 to be included in the convoy. The trucks then individually fundraise and compete to see who is the “lead truck.” The 2018 convoy in Paris raised $72,000. You can watch the convoy or sponsor a truck and donate. 100% of the funds will directly benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

The Terry Fox Run is a non-competitive event where people get together as individuals, families and groups to raise money for cancer research in Terry’s name. It is a day of celebrating Terry’s legacy and helping to keep alive his dream of finding a cure for cancer. Terry Fox Runs take place in over 9,000 communities across Canada every year and are accessible to anyone with no entry fee, no minimum pledge and a non-competitive atmosphere. Participants can run, walk, blade or bike and most of all have fun while raising funds for cancer research.

46th Annual Brantford Kinsmen Car Show & Swap Meet
