An arts-based reconciliation and healing project has a bold goal: To bring together community members to open the dialogue surrounding Indian residential schools. Opening the Doors to Dialogue is a project led by Cayuga artist Samuel Thomas in partnership with Paula Whitlow of the Woodland Cultural Centre. The collaborative works will bring the native and non-native community together to do beadwork on doors that have been salvaged from former residential schools.
