The Blue Dog Café is a beloved local café that serves up freshly brewed coffee and tea, all day breakfast and light lunch and dinner options. They also sell beans and gourmet loose leaf teas, both online and in store. Grab a hot drink and take in the fall season by wandering through the tree-lined neighbourhoods along Brant Avenue.

Healthy Rabbit is one of our go-to spots in the city for great vegetarian and vegan options. They offer a wide variety of plant-focused meals and desserts, as well as hot and cold beverages. If bubble tea is more your style, check out Moon Tea in downtown Brantford. Their menu features a variety of delicious, and very Instagrammable, fresh fruit and milk teas. The Golden Teapot Tearoom | 20 Ava Road | 519-756-5932

Located inside the Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant, The Golden Teapot tearoom is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance. Enjoy Afternoon Tea with a spread of freshly baked scones, clotted cream and preserves, alongside finger sandwiches and homemade desserts. After tea, check out the current exhibit at Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant (admission is free!).

The Exchange Café | 94 Tutela Heights Rd. | 519-756-6220

The Exchange Café at the Bell Homestead National Historic Site is currently open Tuesday to Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is serving up freshly baked goods, coffee and tea. New protocols are now in effect, therefore lunches are no longer served. Book a reservation now, the Café closes for the season on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
