There is something for everyone in your family (and fur family) when you visit Oakhill Marketplace.
Oakhill Marketplace has been closed to the public since the middle of March to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community. The store is busily preparing for their 2nd anniversary on July 6, and will be open to the public only on weekends beginning July 12, 2020. To adapt to new circumstances around social distancing, Oakhill is offering five live shows on Facebook per week. Beginning the first Tuesday in July, Oakhill will be offering ‘Love Small Business Bingo.’ Throughout the pandemic, Oakhill has been buying gift certificates in support of other small businesses in Brantford and the County of Brant. These will be the prizes that BINGO winners choose blindly after getting a row.
Throughout the pandemic, Oakhill Marketplace has also been able to raise over $10,000 with the help of their amazing customers by donations and through auctions. With Canada’s One Stop Shop, they were able to bring in PPE for front line workers in March and April, and they supported three rounds of ‘Feed the Frontline’ with Giles Catering. To this effort, they fed over 1,200 frontline workers including nursing home staff, police officers, firefighters, paramedics, hospice workers and essential stores staff.
Oakhill Marketplace is a prime example of local love, getting as much love in return as they are putting out. Follow them on Facebook to keep-up-to-date with them, and to shop live every week.
