Third Annual House League Hockey to Crown City Championship

Third Annual House League Hockey to Crown City Championship

For the third year in a row, players from two of Brantford’s house league hockey teams will finish the season with an exciting, friendly and fun competition. Brantford Minor Hockey Association (BMHA) and Brantford Church Hockey League (BCHL) will host a weekend of games for the overall house league City Championship. BMHA won the inaugural event in 2018 and BCHL claimed the title in 2019.

The action gets underway for both leagues on Saturday, March 28 – Super Saturday. BCHL will play out of Lions Park Arena and BMHA will be out of the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre. Once the best house league teams from each group (novice, atom, peewee and bantam) are selected, they will face off against each other on Sunday, March 29 for a full day of action on Rink 1 of the Gretzky Centre.

Based on a points system per game for the four divisions, the league with the most points at the end of the day will win the City Championship.

The schedule for the City Championship on Sunday, March 29 at the Gretzky Centre will be:

10:00 am       Novice
11:30 am       Atom
1:30 pm         Peewee
2:30 pm         Bantam

This is a great event to recognize the hard work and achievements of the young house league players in Brantford. Best of luck to all the players and a big thank you to BMHA and BCHL for creating this exciting and fun end of year tournament for the house league players.
