ClayWorks Studio

ClayWorks Studio

ClayWorks Studio is the Brantford Potter’s Guild’s brand new studio space, located at 111 Sherwood Drive in Brantford.  The Brantford Potters’ Guild was formed in 1975 and is well known in Brantford for its large Spring and Fall pottery sales. ClayWorks is a teaching studio, with year round classes available for potters of all skill levels. When not in use for classes, guild members will have access to the studio to work on their own projects.

Tourism Brantford staff recently had the opportunity to visit ClayWorks during one of the Guild’s “Pottery Try Out Days” from September 2-11.  The studio was humming with activity, as experienced potters helped everyone from young children to seniors try out the potters’ wheels and experience the joy of ‘throwing a pot’ on the wheel.  Although I am a complete novice, it was a great experience, and I appreciated the patience of guild member John Prosser in showing us the ropes and providing a tour of the space.

The studio can accommodate up to 14 students at a time.  More information about adult and children’s classes, guild memberships, workshops and events is available on the guild website,
